Here's how to take these steps when you're a man
A. Shoulder width :
Stand up straight with your arms at your sides.
Ask someone to measure the distance from the highest point of your right shoulder to the highest point of your left shoulder. Make sure the tape measure is horizontal.
B. Chest circumference :
Stand still and relax your shoulders.
Wrap a tape measure around the widest part of your chest, generally at nipple level. Make sure the tape measure is snug, but not too tight.
C. Waist size :
Find your natural waist by bending slightly to one side. The place where your body bends is your natural waist.
Wrap the tape measure around your natural waist. Be sure to keep the tape measure horizontal.
D. Waist circumference :
Measure around your waist, generally where you wear your belt.
Make sure the tape measure is snug, but not too tight.
E. Inseam length:
Wear fitted trousers that fit you well.
Measure the length from the top of the crotch (where the trouser legs meet) to the bottom of the trousers.
Make sure you measure in your underwear or tight-fitting clothes to get accurate measurements. Repeat each measurement several times to ensure consistency. Remember that measurements may vary slightly depending on your posture and the way you hold the tape measure. Once you've taken these measurements, you'll be better equipped to choose clothes that fit you perfectly or to order made-to-measure clothing if necessary.
